A WORD FOR YOU – 3 KINDS OF KNOWLEDGE

There is a long list of many types of knowledge and in dealing with these different types of knowledge, there are 3 kinds significant in the Word of God that we should have because of how they affect us, what they bring to us and what we can do or gain through these kinds of knowledge.

From the book of Ephesians 3:19, the bible shows that “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God”

The first level of knowledge God wants us to have as shown in the scripture; “And to know …….” is from the Greek word, Ginosko which means a revelation knowledge

of God, the father and his son, Jesus Christ. This kind of knowledge cannot be gotten from studying books but can only be given to you by the Holy Spirit and by the Word of God.

Also in the book of 1 Corinthians 2:11 “For the Spirit searcheth all things, deep things of God for what man knoweth the things of man except the spirit of the man which is in him. Even so the things of God, knoweth no man, but the spirit of God.”

The second kind of knowledge is from the Greek word, Eido which means absolute knowledge; the divine knowledge of God where you require no further revelation or outside information. It is the knowledge you have to have of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Eido is the knowledge that a man has that has become his possession.

I Timothy 2:4 showed us that “We have all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth”

The last kind of knowledge is from the Greek word, Epignosis which is the full knowledge of the truth. It refers to exact knowledge, full knowledge, and like the revelation knowledge but with participation. Epignosis brings you to the realm of understanding that gets you operating with the fullness of God. This is the knowledge that makes us masters.

This knowledge comes to you through meditation on the Word of God; for example, when you have Ginosko which is the revelation of God, It’s a knowledge that’s imparted to you through the Spirit of God. When you have this kind of knowledge, through meditation and study of the Word with your spirit; your spirit opens up to God to be taught, enlightened, and informed by the Holy Ghost.

Through these kinds of knowledge, your life and attitude are improved because you can use this knowledge to grow your faith, build your spirit and you can use the knowledge for the glory of God.
